I'll go back next week and have a rummage to see what else they have. What a find! Great to see what the possibilities are. A very flattering pattern.gillbchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09537654870519296553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8327217397152414129.post-44408496943082022312011-07-30T18:50:35.727-07:002011-07-30T18:50:35.727-07:00Your black blouse turned out beautifully and I can...Your black blouse turned out beautifully and I can easily imagine it in the dotted swiss you mentioned. My mother could not cope with a pattern and she did everything by draping.

I do a massive amount of remodeling of my clothing but don't know that I'd have the discipline to start sewing what I wanted in the first place. I limit my expenditure and once you start adding up the cost of sewing... Though I do like the idea of using
thrifted garments as fabric and I often think of some of my purchases this way. :)

I'll have to go and think now about whether I tend to wear the same repeat styles of garments. I'm just edging up to the point of questioning whether I don't prefer collars or maybe shirts at all. That's one of the slated thinking projects.Vildynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8327217397152414129.post-36806494139037599682011-07-30T10:20:00.366-07:002011-07-30T10:20:00.366-07:00Welcome Brenda! you make a great point about some ...Welcome Brenda! you make a great point about some of the sales....i'm planning on including that on 'Part Two"! LOL However, now through Sunday Vogue, Butterick and McCalls are on sale for around 4.00 each. http://voguepatterns.mccall.com
If you sign up for the mailing list, they tell when they are on sale. Definitely don't pay 30.00 for them!
My new obsession seem to be Style Arc patterns out of Australia. Just the postage alone is enough to scare you. ;)

Good job on reusing the same pattern! I have so many now, it's sinful. Wouldn't it be fun to do a sew a long, using only one pattern to make different styles? Hmmmmm.....

BrendaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01826810351448050937noreply@blogger.com
