Waste Not, Want Not

Friday, November 19, 2010.  10:47am

same day, 1:22 pm

uh oh.

later that afternoon (1:48 pm)

on edit: i wore these crochet socks about once a week for over 4 years. so they had TOTALLY EARNED that hole! in fact, i bought a white pair at the same time that are still going strong. Definitely recommended.

Cropped Jacket, Skirt, Scarf: own design
Grey Long Sleeve Sweater: Mossimo for Target
Black Wrap Sweater: Nine West (i've been throwing this sweater on top of EVERYTHING this winter - it adds warmth without impeding movement, it's a newt, it doesn't add bulk to the silhouette...)
Capri Leggings: Target - that whole appeared on this, their second wearing. NOT recommended.
Crochet Cuffs nee Socks: lost in the mists of time (similar here)
Oxfords: Bass Lacey
Sandals: Naturalizer

  1. I love that you've converted your holey socks into little glovelettes (is that a word? it should be!). I like how your brain works.

  4. 1st, to clarify - i wore these crochet socks about once a week for over 4 years. so they had TOTALLY EARNED that hole! in fact, i bought a white pair at the same time that are still going strong.

the capri leggings from Target are another story. they got that snag/hole on wear # 2. naughty leggings!

he he Sheila - how, why, whether my brain works is an on-going source of debate ; )

hi Paula! yes, and i'd always been a 'thin cardi under jacket' girl (which can get kind of sausage-ey).

Hi Terri! i'm an autodidact - all the ladies in my family have always been into plants: CA natives, heirloom veggies, carnivorous, succulents and caudiciforms.....i 'met' the buddhas'a hand at a huge produce market in Berkeley, Monterey Market. they carry a lot of asian and latin specialties.

plus i just remember all type of stray, useless facts if i want to or not.....steph
